Position Description:

Title: Receipt Printer Repair Technician

Classification: Full Time

Location: All work performed in-house

Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8 AM – 4 PM

Compensation: Starting at $35K per year + merit bonus

Hillside Electronics Corp. was established in 1981 to repair and sell point-of-sale receipt printers and equipment. We pride ourselves in operating a company that has a laid-back, family-like atmosphere, and a supportive and friendly staff.

We are currently seeking a repair technician for the troubleshooting and board-level repair of small printers used in the POS technology marketplace. All work performed in one location in Worthington, MA.

No previous experience is necessary; receipt printer repair is fun and easy to learn! If hired, an experienced technician will show you how to repair one printer at a time as you build up your skills.

Our ideal candidate would be a self-motivated individual with excellent attention to detail and problem solving skills. We are looking for a person who embraces teamwork but is also capable of working independently. This position requires skillful controlled manipulation of small objects for logical disassembly and rebuild.

 

After training, you will be expected to:

 --Troubleshoot analog or digital print devices to component level.

-- Operate test equipment including scopes and multimeters

--Solder/rebuild etches.

--Apply diagnostic knowledge in electronic principals or circuits and component operation.

--Apply knowledge of printer, computer theory and terminology.

--Build small circuits

--Document repairs

--Inspect, evaluate and develop procedures on new product offerings.

--Establish and maintain positive working relationships.
